Big news for Richmond! In a huge victory for the dedicated local movement that came together to defend our community’s health, the city and Levin-Richmond Terminal have reached a settlement: the terminal will stop handling coal and petcoke by the end of 2026.

Gratitude to all the partners and allies who helped make this happen: No Coal in Richmond, Sierra Club, Sunflower Alliance, SF Baykeeper, Earthjustice, Communities for a Better Environment, Asian Pacific Environmental Network, teachers, health professionals, and most importantly YOU. Special thanks to Supervisor John Gioia and Richmond City Council member Eduardo Martinez.
